Festive Spirit

Christmas has well and truly arrived in my house! Mum has put up the Christmas tree and now the house looks like a small Santa's grotto! I love this time of year as I can put on as many layers of clothing without people thinking I'm a weird person having so much clothes on. I'm what you call a "cold fish" I am always cold so the more layers of clothing I can put on the better!

I am loving all the chunky knits and cardi's that are out on the high-street!They are a simple way of wrapping up cosy and warm and still being stylish at the same time, because let's face it being warm is not always the most stylish of things. With a chunky knit such as a cardi or jumper they will still keep you warm and stylish, also another thing I love about them is how many of them now are festive themed! Below is a few of my favourite ones, I can't decide what one to purchase!! All of them are either from Topshop or Miss Selfridge!

I think I am liking the Aztec print one the best!

Mad for metallics!

On my recent visit to Miss Selfridge purchased a cute metallic jumper! I never thought i would wear a metallic jumper but i have changed my mind and now actually love it! Its so versatile i can wear it during the day or at night! Magic!

The one I bought comes in two colours a silver or a gold, I went for the silver as I thought the gold was a little to daring! Its quite a bright gold as you can see so I opted for the more muted tone of the silver!

As it's now winter you have to cover up a little on nights out so this will be perfect teamed with some leather trousers or skirt or some high shine leggings I also have my eye on. When wearing it I will a chunky statement necklace that I have and if i've been a good girl this year hopefully santa will bring me the studded boots I previously blogged about! Although I plan to wear it on a night out it can be just as easy worn during the day with jeans.

Metallics jumpers are all over the shops just now and are an easy way of glamming up casually and they also make you look like you haven't tried to hard! Perfect! Girls get out and get buying!

New Years Eve!

Ive been organised this year and have bought my new years eve dress already! I wanted to be organised this year so there wasn't a mad panic like last year! Last year I was in town on new years eve trying to find a dress which was a nightmare and I ended up getting so stressed, so I thought that cannot happen this year.

I bought this cute pink dress from Miss Selfridge, as soon as I seen it I instantly fell in love with it. It will suit my figure perfectly as I have quite a large bust so the draping will help disguise that, and the nipped in waist will make me look small in the right place.

I'm a little worried the colour may make me look a little bit like barbie (I have blonde hair) but I have been assured that it's not the right shade of pink to be a barbie style dress! I hope so anyway! I plan to wear black tights (I have to its Scotland here it will be freezing), black patent shoes and bag and a nice chunky statement necklace. I wanted to add the necklace as the dress itself is quite plain so thought it needed something to make it more appealing.

I am chuffed with my new purchase and cannot wait to wear it! Hurry up new years eve!

Leather Lover!

I recently bought a leather jacket from Topshop, which I have no had off my back since I bought it!

It's black leather and the collar is trimmed with fur! I love it so much! I'm sure you will have seen it on the website or in the shop itself! I couldn't upload as picture as Topshop's website have sold out of it so there was none left! I should feel lucky I have one yippee!

Leather jackets should be a staple piece in everyone's wardrobe (well in my opinion anyway!) as they can to worn to almost anything and go with almost anything!
They can be chucked on for a night out to rock up an outfit or can be just as easily put on with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt for a more casual look. They can be customised to make each one different like with my one it has a fur collar, or you could do some DIY customising but gluing some studs on to make it totally biker.

Although leather jackets are not always "on-trend" they are something that could be in your wardrobe which can be pulled out from season to season! So everyone should go out and invest in one, although they can be a little pricey they are definitely worth it! Get investing girls!

My Christmas Wish List

Christmas is fast approaching so its time to dig out the trusty christmas wish list! As per usual there is a million things on my wish list for anyone who feels like giving me a present! Haha! The thing which i really really want are these amazing boots from Topshop! I adore them!

They would be the perfect heel to wear on a night out in winter, as its winter and cold you don't really want to be getting your feet out in all that chilly snow so heeled boots are a great alternative. With all the studs on the boots they would also be a great statement piece to add to your wardrobe. The boots will look great with a classic LBD totally modernising a classic look with one small change. The chunky heel is on trend for this season! This heeled boot will see you through the whole of winter and all of the festive parties! The boot will also be able to take you from day to night as it is so versatile.

Although they would make a perfect evening choice you could wear them during the day too! Teamed with a chunky knit, skinny jeans and an oversized bag it will be the perfect outfit for these chilly winter months!

Hurry up payday!

On a recent visit to Topshop, which is like almost everyday for me! I stumbled across these super cute flats! These are definitely going to be my next purchase once the long awaited pay day has arrived. I instantly fell in love with everything about them but mostly the fact that they are leopard print! At £32 they are quite pricey for a pair of flats but whilst browsing I also came across another pair very similar for just £16, this pair is bang on trend with the "slipper look".

I know leopard print can be a tricky print to pull off without making it look too cheap and tacky, but I think these are the perfect way to add a touch of the print into an outfit. By wearing leopard print on shoes it can just finish off an outfit! Now I just want pay day to hurry up so I can buy them!

Something Sparkly!

This week while Christmas shopping I had a little de tour and ended up buying myself a new watch. I'm not the greatest lover of watches but when  I don't wear one I tend to feel like i have forgotten something!

This watch is very similar to my old watch from Ice but this one is a bit more feminine with its diamanté detailing round the face and white ceramic strap.I bought this one from my work, Karen Millen.
I had been lusting after it for a few weeks so decided to treat myself to it, although I really should of bought my christmas presents first!

This watch is the watch of all watches as I will be able to wear it at night times on nights out and during  the day with a more casual look. As it's white it will go with almost everything! I haven't taken it of my wrist since I bought it!

My New Lust

So this week i have a spotted a pair of black wedge boots from topshop that i have added to my christmas list already! At £120 they are a definatley something i will be asking the parents for!

They are the perfect heel hight to be able to wear all day without getting sore feet! Even though i would wear them for day time they could just as easily be worn at night.

I am in desperate need of a pair of black wedge boots, so these are just fitting for my requirements! I will probably wear them with my skinny jeans a tshirt and my beloved leather jacket which i posted about previously!

Hopefully santa willl read this and pop these boots under the tree for me to open!

My Tan Accident...

So i splurged a little over the weekend oops! I bought a bag from my work (Karen Millen), although it may have cost a little more than i wanted to spend i love it!

This bag shall carry me right throught to next spring summer which will be just in time for me to buy my next bag ha! As it's a pretty neutral colour it will go with everything for autumn winter. Tan is a pretty easy colour to pull off. I think it goes really well with a dark denim and some nice chunky knits for winter, so this may be my staple look for this winter!

As you can see it's a tan leather with lots of buckles and zips on it to keep it interesting. The leather has an aged look about which i like as it looks like the bag has been loved and doesn't look so clean cut which sometimes can look boring. I like my bags to look loved and used as it makes them look more interesting.

On the inside of the bag it has a lovely red lining with tan detailing which really proves the quality of the bag as cheaper bags may not have lining and definately wouldn't have the leather detailing on the inside of the bag. So all and all it was a great purchase for the winter!

My little bargain!

So i had a girls night out at the weekend and had the usual dilemma about what to wear! I was sick of wearing dresses and fancied a change so i popped into town to find myself something to wear.

Whilst shoppping i came across a cute leopard print jumpsuit, which i instantly fell in love with. It fitted in with exactly with what i was looking for.....it wasnt a dress and it was unusual. To make things even better i then looked at the price £10 in the sale in new look! I was definately having this one!

Whilst wearing it i got so many compliments asking where i got it from as it was so flattering. I think these types of outfits are always easy to wear and can be dressed up for a more formal occassion or it can be dressed down for during the day with leather jacket and some flat pumps.

This is the second jumpsuit i have bought, at first i was unsure of them because of my height as im only 5'2 i thought they may drown me. Infact they did the total opposite, it elongated my body as the legs of it are long and flared it made my legs look SO much longer! I wore  my jumpsuit with a belt on my waist just to break up the leopard print as i thought it perhaps looked a bit much.

I have uploaded some photos for you to see the jumpsuit!

My Autumn Winter Must Haves!

Ahh here it goes i have never blogged before so this is my first! Eeek!

Autumn/Winter fashion is my favourite! All those chunky knits, scarfs, boots and general warmth of winter clothes gets me excited for the autumn winter fashion! For autumn winter 2011 I have already picked out a few items that will definately make it into my winter wardrobe.

A few of these pieces being, a collar necklace which can be worn during the day to add some glitz to a plain t-shirt or can be worn at night to accessorise your outfit perfectly. This is an easy item to take you from day to night swiftly!

Another piece which is going to make my winter wardrobe yet again is my beloved fur coat! I bought it two years ago and I love it to death. Its a simple black short fur jacket but it seems to go with everything that I put on, I can dress it down with a pair of jeans and biker boots or it can be just a gorgeous thrown over a little black dress on a night out. No matter the weather I always love to wear this jacket, if its really cold i'll even throw a big scarf over it to make me extra warm! I'm just glad its winter again so i can dig it out!

My favourite thing I have bought so far for winter is my camel fedora hat, this is a 70's trend which I think will be huge this season! I am still yet to wear it but i am just waiting for a rainy day so i can use it to cover my hair!

One final last piece that I am going to be wearing this winter is an aubergine chunnky knit cardi! I have still yet to find the perfect one, on the lookout! Aubergine is going to be huge this winter as can be seen in all the fashion magazines. I plan on wearing this colour in the form of a chunky style knit as I mentioned which can be thrown on over jeans and a t-shirt to uni to keep me cosy!!
